Our goal in Grace Hill Kids is to partner with parents to love the next generation and lead them to life in Jesus Christ.
First time? Here's what to expect:
On your child’s first visit, please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before the service starts and head to the Grace Hill Kids check-in desk. One of our check-in volunteers will collect some basic information about your family and child, and enter it into our secure check-in system.
From then on, each time your family checks in for Grace Hill Kids, both you and your child will receive a security sticker with a matching 4-digit code, valid only for that day. We ask that your child wear this sticker visibly on clothing at all times while in a Grace Hill Kids classroom. (We also offer additional stickers to label diaper bags, personal items, etc.).
Kids ages 6 months-3 years old will be dropped off to their classroom immediately after checking in.
Kids ages 4-12 yrs old will sit through main worship, they will be dismissed to meet their teacher at the back of the gym and will walk next door to the cafeteria for class.
After dropping your child off, relax and enjoy the service! Our Grace Hill Kids volunteers serve to ensure your child(ren) are well taken care of, and have a great experience while in our care. However, if you are needed, we will display your 4-digit code on the monitor in service to alert you. Please be attentive to the screens throughout the service; and if your number is displayed, head to the Grace Hill Kids area to speak with a leader.
If your child is in the Nursery or Toddler Room, you will be asked to show your security sticker to one of your child’s room volunteers and they will then match the number on your child’s sticker to the number on your sticker, prior to releasing them.
If your child is in the Pre-K or Elementary classroom, you will be asked to show your security sticker to the GHK captain at the cafeteria door, when collecting your child from his/her classroom area, and then a final time when you leave the gym.
If you happen to misplace your security sticker during service, proper identification will be required in order to match you and your child in our system before they are released.
We do extensive background checks on our volunteers and have a thorough registration system to ensure that your children are safe and cared for. Volunteers experience policy and procedure training, receive consistent feedback, and are encouraged through gospel-centered teaching.

Age specific programs:
We divide our ministry into separate environments so that we can engage your child at his or her level
Our goal at this age is to create a safe environment which sets the foundation in young hearts that church is a place for both learning and fun. Parents can take comfort in knowing that their infants are receiving exceptional, loving care in our nursery while they enjoy worship.
Children who have reached 2 yrs of age will graduate to the a Toddler Room on Promotion Sunday until they are age 4. They will enjoy a Bible lesson from the Gospel Project for Kids, crafts and activities.
Children who have reached age 4 will graduate to the Pre-K/Kindergarten Room on Promotion Sunday until 1st grade. They will enjoy a Bible lesson from the Gospel Project for Kids, crafts and activities
Children who have reached 1st grade will graduate to the Elementary Room on Promotion Sunday until 6th grade. They will enjoy main worship, Bible lesson from the Gospel Project for Kids, crafts and activities.
Serving opportunities:
Whether you love working with kids or prefer interacting with adults, we have an area of Grace Hill Kids where you could serve! Check out a few of the areas below:
The Check-in Team makes families feel welcome and checks kids into age-appropriate classes. This team sets up the check-in area before the service and tears down following the service. Check-in volunteers welcome families to the Grace Hill Kids area and assist with child pick-up in the gym following the service.
Volunteers serving in the Nursery provide care and nurturing for our littlest participants, ages 6 months to 24 months. Nursery volunteers set up the Nursery room prior to the service and tear down the room following the service.
Volunteers serving in the Toddler Room, Pre-K/Kindergarten, and Elementary classrooms lead kids through Bible lessons, crafts, and free play. All lessons and materials are provided. Classroom volunteers set up the classroom areas before the service and tear down their areas following the service.
These volunteers lead the Toddlers, PreK, and Elementary kids in a time of worship through song each week. We sing to pre-recorded songs, so a beautiful singing voice is not necessary! These volunteers simply need to lead the kids with energy and enthusiasm! Worship Team volunteers set up the sound equipment before the service and tear it down following the service.
If you are interested in serving in Grace Hill Kids, a background check is required. Please email kids@gracehillchurch.com for more information.
