  • Aaron Franklin once said that great barbecue is about patience and respect for the process. Which, for those of us raised on 90s youth group messaging, feels strangely familiar. True love waits. So does brisket. So dig out that old purity ring and pledge and remind yourself that patience is a virtue in love AND in food. Our annual BBQ is a celebration of fire and smoke! An experience that goes beyond taste and toward creating memories and moments. It’s the closest thing we have to magic, and for many of us, the most powerful expression of love we know how to share with friends and family. Barbecue is a testament to the power of simplicity, and while it may not be a health food, it is food for the soul. So smoke ’em if you’ve got ’em, and bring some meat (or a side) to share.
